Wyldcode & The Challenge

At e-dimensionz, we’ve spent over 20 years helping development teams and online businesses build the infrastructure behind their platforms - from backend systems, to frontend tools. In that time, we have identified some of the worst issues plaguing online apps and e-commerce stores. 

• Blocking signups with disposable and/or fake emails
• Looking up ZIP / Postal code coordinates for logistics (without paying for a 3rd party API)
• Running DNS checks for probing domains
• Bin packing for shipping & fulfillment in order to better predict REAL shipping cost calculations

Some of these issues have the potential to make or break a platform or store. For example, spammy signups from non-existent or disposable email addresses reduced the mail server reputation of otherwise reputable service providers. More commonly, standard shipping plugins can greatly over/under estimate the real shipping price of a cart full of packages. This can either discourage a customer from purchasing your products or eat into your store profits if the customer pays too little.

We needed something clean, easy and effective. So we built it ourselves - under Wyldcode, our subsidiary for apps, plugins, and developer tools.

The Solution

We built WyldAPI as a risk-mitigation platform. Over time, we are releasing various features that help stores and apps operate effectively while reducing the various risks that cause frequent headaches. Things like email validation, and looking up instant postal codes geo-lookups. These could be small problems, but they come up constantly, and some affect every app. We specifically designed our API to be developer friendly and extremely easy to implement.

Some of our platform features don't have any analogue, others are implemented via complicated APIs or protocols. 

Our endpoints are designed to be quick to integrate, and easy to test. From the console, you can create up to 3 API keys, check your request logs, and track usage with real-time stats.

We’re also rolling out WordPress and Joomla extensions soon that will make it easy to use WyldAPI on CMS sites. Tools like email validation and bin packing will be able to be added with just your API key, no custom coding required.

And there's more on the way! ID Verification is currently in the works, along with more endpoints aimed at handling tasks with as little friction as possible.

Measured Value

WyldAPI started as a way to speed up our own work and to help other developers facing the same problems. Instead of rebuilding the same utility functions or dealing with bloated third-party APIs, we just call our own clean and reliable endpoints.

It’s already helping power internal tools, shipping workflows, and admin panels - saving time, and reducing bugs caused by human (and AI) error. 

More importantly, it’s the kind of tool we wished existed years ago.. and now, it does.
