Increased Security Measures for Hosted Websites

Over the past few months, we’ve seen an increase in infections across various types of websites on our servers—including WordPress, other CMS platforms, and even some custom-built sites. In almost every case, the underlying cause has been outdated code or plugins/components no longer maintained.

To better protect your website and others on the same server, we’re implementing new internal processes for detecting and managing compromised or vulnerable websites.

What’s Changing:

  • We are increasing our regular scans and audits across all hosted accounts.
  • If your site is flagged as compromised or at risk, you’ll receive a direct notice with suggested next steps.
  • If no action is taken, we may temporarily place the site in “maintenance mode” to isolate it until it can be reviewed or cleaned.

What You Can Do:

  • Regularly update any CMS (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, etc.), plugins, themes, or third-party scripts.
  • Remove unused or outdated components from your site.
  • Ensure your site is backed up and monitored.

We also offer optional support plans:

  •

We’re here to help—if you’re unsure about the current state of your site or want a quick review, please open a support ticket.

Thanks for your understanding as we work to keep your site and our servers secure.
